BMW ActiveE Making Moves to the US

For a while now there has been a lot of buzz about the BMW ActiveE at Wagner BMW of Shrewsbury. The BMW ActiveE is the first 100% electric luxury car, setting a stepping stone for not only BMW, but the auto industry itself. None of BMW's luxury competitors are close to offering a all electric luxury automobile, which puts BMW is a great position to take the lead.

Since the BMW ActiveE is not ready to hit the masses we have refrained from saying that they are in the lead. BMW has launched the BMW Electronaut test-pilot program giving…

BMW 3 Series gets together for family portrait

BMW 3 Series family portraitAsk anyone that knows what the quintessential sports sedan is, and 9 out of 10 will tell you it's the BMW 3 Series. It's the landmark against which all others are measured, the target that every other luxury automaker has in its sights, and the very icon of what a luxury sports sedan should be. What's more, it has been all those things for three and a half decades, from the first model introduced in 1975 to the new 6th generation model just rolled out last month.

With a hyphen or without, the 3 Series has come a long way, so to illustrate the fact, BMW has lined up all 6th generations for a family portrait or four, which you can check out in the HD image above, along with the detailed press release after the jump.
BMW 1 Series Convertible Edition Exclusive and Coupe Edition SportWith 2012 now upon us, BMW has released a series of updates across its ever-expanding range, but the most noteworthy among them are a pair of special editions in the 1 Series.

First up is the Edition Exclusive, which packages a chrome grille, exhaust tips and window frames to contrast with the special grey metallic paint (or one of five standard colors), along with unique wheels and an interior decked out in special black or grey top-stitched leather with aluminum trim, anthracite headliner, chrome-trimmed steering wheel and handbrake and special sill plates and floor mats.
2012 BMW ActiveHybrid 3Somewhat lost in the fanfare of BMW introducing a hybrid version of its best-selling 3 Series at the Detroit Auto Show was a brief mention of its new navigation technology. The 2012 ActiveHybrid 3 will be the first hybrid to use its nav system to help predict the best time to use and recharge its battery. This will go well beyond currently available navigation technology that plots economical travel routes based on traffic and speed limits, also incorporating altitude, final destination and other real-time data to wring the most out of those electrons.....
