For a while now there has been a lot of buzz about the BMW ActiveE at Wagner BMW of Shrewsbury. The BMW ActiveE is the first 100% electric luxury car, setting a stepping stone for not only BMW, but the auto industry itself. None of BMW's luxury competitors are close to offering a all electric luxury automobile, which puts BMW is a great position to take the lead.

Since the BMW ActiveE is not ready to hit the masses we have refrained from saying that they are in the lead. BMW has launched the BMW Electronaut test-pilot program giving Tom and Meredith Moloughney the chance to provide feedback on the ActiveE over the next 2 years. There are other Electronauts around the world as well that BMW will use all the feedback from the Electronauts to help them tune in the ActiveE and get it ready for its launch in 2013.
